Jim loved his home and the tree-shaded neighborhood where he’s lived for more than 30 years. However, it had become challenging to enjoy living there. “I was in need of what the homeowner repair program offered because the bathroom was not accessible and I worried about falling,” Jim said. His home also needed new rain gutters, among other issues. So Jim applied to and was approved by our home repair program that serves homeowners.
Jim is thrilled with the repairs
Repairs that were made include:
- Making the bathroom accessible so Jim could take a shower. Also, the window had to be removed and covered, the floor was soft and had to be repaired and the side of the cabinet was rotted out. You can see before and after photos below.
- The home’s electrical system was brought up to code.
- A deck was built in the front of the home.
- Aging gutters were replaced.
